MVS Solutions has designed and developed intelligent software that directs z/OS processing to meet the goals of the batch schedules automatically. MVS Solutions’ ThruPut Manager AE with PCS (TM AE PCS) is currently managing all the scheduled production workload in some major sites with minimal need for manual intervention. In this session, we will be focusing on the interactions between CA 7, TM AE PCS, and z/OS. Using a sample schedule, we will show

  • TM AE PCS displays that are available to operators and production control staff
  • the answer to “why is this job late?”, including revealing which jobs are the real "culprits".
  • how late jobs, as well as those on the critical path, are automatically escalated in z/OS.
  • CA 7 information integrated with JES2 and TM AE PCS information.
