The z/OS Batch Management Series is a series of papers which, when taken together, provide Jose Danobeitia’s thinking on managing batch service in a z/OS JES2 environment. They explore the history of batch over the past 40 years and the progress made to date in optimizing and automating batch service. The papers can be read in any order, though The Evolution of Batch Automation may be a good starting point.
