1. "Simply tell ThruPut Manager how you want your batch managed"
- Using ISPF dialogues, the datacenter first captures the JESplex's 'physical' environment.
- Policies then describe the logical requirements of that environment. The logical requirements can change throughout
business cycles (e.g., by shift, by day of week, by business day/holiday, by fiscal calendar, and so on). Multiple policies can be
saved and are expected to be activated and deactivated as a normal activity.
- Policies are expressed in terms that are natural to users and management alike. The following service goal translates easily
into a ThruPut Manager policy.
"I'd expect the jobs to begin execution in 5 minutes and I'm not worried if it's even 15 minutes, but if it's more than 20 minutes, then we need to escalate."
