Installation of all ThruPut Manager Editions is accomplished using the TM-Quikload Installation Method. This method unloads a complete SMP/E installed ThruPut Manager licensed product, including current accumulative maintenance and APARs. In addition, it provides the corresponding self-contained SMP/E environment needed for future maintenance. This SMP/E environment can remain as a standalone environment (usually for a first-time install) or be merged into an existing SMP/E environment (for special site requirements or accumulative maintenance).

The following Installation Verification Procedures are provided by Edition and verify that each aspect of the licensed product is installed correctly -- that JES2 will initialize -- that TM initialization will complete -- and the basic components function correctly.

Please select Product Edition:

ThruPut Manager Automation Edition (TM AE)

The following procedures assume that the function of installing the product and components into the appropriate libraries has been completed and the TM definitions have been added to the JES2 initialization statements.

The sample IVP Procedures are provided in PDF format. They make use of TM JECL statements to manage a job with the various TM components. Another method is using ThruPut Manager's JOB ACTION LANGUAGE (JAL). The JAL method is not demonstrated here.

Please note, it is preferable to use the JAL method in a production environment, as some sites implement controls to ignore user coded JECL statements.

ThruPut Manager Automation Edition Plus PCS (TM AE+)
